Hi Lisa! Here in Wasilla, a couple of light snowfalls have come and gone since freeze-up (ground, not water yet). The ground is frozen a couple of inches down in our yard and the last "dusting" seems to be staying put.
I always know when "winter" has arrived when my goats coats "stand on end" for better insulating ability. It looks like they gain about 10 lbs. overnight. Too cute.
It's a good time of year for spinning and knitting. Last weekend was the big "Fall Spinning Retreat" out by Big Lake - we had spinners/knitters from as far as Fairbanks and the Kenai converge on Big Lake for this fun, fun, fun weekend of fiber frenzy!
