I reached the point of exasperation with the chaos of my house and have been plowing into a cleaning project. I just couldn't take the mess any more smile So I have finally organized my origami paper as part of this. Here is what it now looks like -

I even labelled each bin so I knew what was what.

How do you organize your crafting paper?

Great job!

I don't have a fraction of the amount of paper you have so I use a box I purchased for storage. I also like using boxes to keep the dust off the paper as my apartment is ground level and gets very dusty!

That's a great idea, Lisa! I keep rolls of wrapping paper in a tall grocery carton, and sheets in a box too.

My Christmas paper is all in a big rubbermaid bin under the guest bed but I haven't used it in years. We don't tend to give "presents" any more - we take people to dinner or such. So I never use it. I really need to sort through that and start using it for projects, rather than let it just sit there wasted.

Lisa If you don't use the Christmas paper anymore and have not desire / ideas / current projects for its use.... I give all my papers to one or two of our local assisted living places. Usually these places have a Christmas gift drive and need wrapping paper to wrap the donations. Just a thought... Something else. There's also the organizations that have the gift trees in the malls and such who might need wrapping paper - might even need someone to help wrap the gifts!

Organizing my crafting papers.......

Some papers are organized, some are just stacked up on the dresser in the guest room, some are on the coffee table...you get the picture.

I have tried a lot of different ways to organize my papers. I have WAY too much to really organize. I use the cardboard magazine holders to keep some of my 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock. I use some 12x12 inch paper holders (from Michaels Craft Store) for my printed / designer papers but the 12x12 cardstock is just stacked on top of the dresser in the guest bedroom. I also have a 2-drawer filing cabinet that holds more 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock (one drawer only). More cardstock is just placed on-edge on a couple of shelves in a bookcase.

It's a disaster! Maybe this winter while it is cold, rainy or snowing outside I will take the time to purge my paper stash. I might have a "craft supplies yard sale" in the spring.
