Ok, if y'all are getting a little bored, we now have the option of visiting any where and any time in history, real or stuff of folklore and mythology places. Granpappy and Beetle have gone and built us a time machine, powered by Granpappy's XXX formula and Beetle's rocket ingenuity invention.

Start with the letter A and tell us where you would like to go. Next person start with letter B, and so on.

Go for it!!! smile

I was keen on going to Avalon, Phyllis, but Atlantis would be interesting--take care with the settings so we get it before it sank.

For B, however, I think 18th century Bath, England. I would like to meet my hero and heroine, William Herschel (musician and astronomer) and his sister Caroline (first woman to discover a comet and be made an honorary member of the Royal Astronomical Society).

Greetings, Mona. I would love to go to Avalon, too. It is one of my most favorite places. Your choice for 'B', though, is very interesting. If you have an article on Herschel and his sister, or plan to write one, I will love to read it and learn more. I am very intrigued with the Herschels -- you have peaked my interest. smile

Glastonbury Abbey - the ancient county of Somerset in the 7th Century -- when King Ine of Wessex put up the stone church which is now the base that forms the west end of the nave. Ine was widely regarded as one of the most important figures in the history of the Abbey.
