Do you have a favorite werewolf - other than Alcide Herveaux? He is one cute puppy and certain to be at the top of the list.

I thought there were no documented accounts of wolves attacking humans.

It isn't common in this day and age but here's one that happened just this week.

Wolf Attack in China

The history of wolves is a fascinating subject to read about.

"In 1876, in the North-West Provinces and Bihar State of British India, 2,825 wolves were killed in response to 721 fatal attacks on humans.[27] Two years later, 2,600 wolves were killed in response to attacks leaving 624 humans dead.[28] Wolf exterminations remained a priority in the NWP and Awadh through to the 1920s, because wolves were reportedly killing more people than any other predator in the region."

Awww; i am sad. I love wolves. I hate extermination programs.

I know this topic is about werewolves, but still. I hold a grudge against disney for their hate stand on wolves.

They are beautiful animals and look so peaceful at the zoo.

Other countries had half man/half animal myths depending on the predators in the area. India had weretigers. I don't remember the others but may look into it more later on.

I think the Twilight wolves were very easy on the eyes, but they weren't werewolves so much as shape shifters. Animagus, as they would say in the Harry Potter universe.

The cute, cuddly wolves at the zoo aren't supposed to attack. Maybe she tried to scratch their belly or rub behind their ears?

Lucian from Underworld, there are books (at least the first 3) and I did buy them but I did not have the time to read them before someone set my house on fire.
