We all tend to have a favorite room or spot in our homes to hang out in. What's your favorite and what do you like about it?

My favorite room in our house would be the master bedroom. Its decor isn't trendy or particularly stylish and certainly not everyone's taste. But the room is cozy and comfortable and decorated with artwork and items that have personal meaning in our lives.

We decided not to have television sets in (any of the bedrooms) our bedroom so that when we go inside and close the door it is like a mini-escape from the headlines of the news and the pressures and intrusiveness of the world outside.

There is an old, chair by the bed whose upholstery has seen better days but I won't change it until it completely shatters because I have such wonderful memories of it in my grandmother's house. The armoire is probably too big for the room but I want my girls to enjoy having this special place with so many great places to hide their treasures for safekeeping the same as I did when I was a child.

What do I like best about this special spot in our home? I suppose I prefer it because it holds so much more than just furniture.

Thanks for commenting msbaby. Love the sound of your master bedroom - it's as a room should be - full of the things you love. I have an old rocking chair that belonged to my Grandma. I used to rock on it as a child on her screen porch and now it's my favorite chair in my home.

my favorite room in my house is my bedroom which i have decorated by myself with flooring covered by beautiful area rugs and a big fluffy bed and Aalto armchair 406 yes i like that chair very much .....yay its me..
