What do YOU expect for 2012??

Rapid deceleration and disintegration of the status quo. People getting back the basics of home, hearth, family, food, clothing & shelter and bartering for items of need. More genuine concern for the needs of others. A wave of peace and beauty, but a lot of turbulence and discord and even some violence as people get displaced and out of sorts. A shuffling of the deck so to speak of people deciding to attune with the new vibration or hold on to the old order of things. Some insanity at the higher echelons of society. A lot of reevaluation of what is really important.

Deanna, this is a really great article! I like the Toltec mythos very much -- it makes a lot of sense to me, it rings true.

What do I expect for 2012? I expect more spiritual growth in myself and others. It is more of a knowing than an expectation though.

Spiritual growth not only for myself but for my brothers and sisters. I sense my involvement in some sort of counseling.?!?!

If there was one word I'd use it would be transformation: events that will occur, both in nature and in the manmade world, causing angst amongst some and joy in others.

The vibrations of the earth have been speeding up with all the earthquakes and such, so hold onto your hats girls and boys and fasten your seat belts! It'll be a heck of a ride -- interesting for sure -- and it remains to be seen who will be left standing.

Hmmmmm.

Dear Deanna, what an inspiring article.

I too hope and expect a greater spiritual awakening this new year, and as the Earth Changes continue, a greater bonding between all people. It often struck me as terribly sad, that it takes a time of tragedy and great horror to unite the Human Race.

Our own floods throughout the State of Queensland, including my own city of Brisbane, followed by a Cyclone greater in force than Katrina, followed by the earthquakes in Christchurch New Zealand, followed by the Quake, Tsunami and Nuclear destruction in Japan - just to mention those close to home, brought people from all over the world together, to help, to support, - and the way everyone pulled AS ONE during these times. It was moving, and yet terribly sad to see how it seems to take major disasters to unite people in love and compassion.

I hope and pray there will be less pain and grief in 2012 -

Oooh, I really like what everyone has been saying! The shifts have been powerful, and a little scary, and I can really see where mankind in general has a chance to really make great strides.

Did anyone happen to watch the documentary, 2012: A Time For Change? I watched it on netflix recently. Though I have to admit, I was knitting at the same time, so didn't get the full benefit of it However, they did bring up some remarkable things that people are doing to improve the quality of life on the planet - and actually heal things done to the earth!

I plan on watching it again with my kids after the start of the year - we're making it a homeschooling project
