There is a light side to German Life, and just one example is �Yvonne the Celebrity Runaway Cow�, who has been camping out in a Bavarian Forest for the past three months.

Hi Francine -- I enjoyed the story about Yvonne the cow.
It sure does make me think about going vegetarian again.
So often we forget where our meat comes from and I think that if people really knew what factory farming was all about, they'd agree!

Yes Phyllis and Anna, Yvonne has quite a spirit, and it does make one think about �steak with pepper sauce�, or whatever.
She was finally recaptured this morning after three months of 'Freedom', and even then put up one heck of a fight, she was certainly not giving up that easily. It required over double the normal dose of sedatives before she finally �fell asleep�, and a veterinarian professor said she was �full of adrenaline�.
Then the trailer that was to take her to join her �son� Friesi and �sister� Waltraut at the animal refuge, got stuck in the mud, so she had to have a shot to �bring her back�, a calming jab, another to protect her blood pressure, and something vitamin packed to make her feel good.
After that she was blindfolded, half carried half walked the 35 yards to the trailer, and by now she will be safely relaxing at Gut Aiderbichl Animal Sanctuary, where she need have no fear that she will end up tethered to a short rope with no room to move, which is how she lived before, or that she will end up on someone�s plate.

Moove over Shrek! Yvonne the cow to become a Hollywood star.
Hi Phyllis and Anna, do you remember the summer story about Germany's Runaway cow Yvonne, who rushed around the countryside causing chaos and even getting her own Facebook page?
Well her life gets more exciting by the day, now it seems as if she is going to become a Hollywood star.
