For Americans, it is traditional this time of the year to think of things we are thankful for and share them on Thanksgiving day.
I challenge you to share with us daily one thing you are thankful for. It can be anything. Just share with us something you are thankful for every day. So many times we would rather complain about all the bad in the world, it's about time we think about the good.
This is a good way to remember the good things in life and to share our lives with each other and grow closer as a community.

Today I am thankful for the ability to love and be loved in return. It is truly a blessing to be able to love another human being, and to know you have their love in return.

Today I am thankful for the internet working after the service was down for a day.
Here in The Netherlands the internet allows me to keep in frequent touch with my family who live halfway around the globe.

Today I am thankful for coworkers who are like family. We see each other over 40 hours a week and are parts of each others lives. if we didn't get along, it'd make for one helluva week.

Jase today I am thankful that I saw your post that reminded me of some of the words of Nat King Cole's song Nature Boy - "the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return". To check I had the words right I looked the song up on YouTube (see link above), and for the first time saw a performance of the song rather than just hearing it on radio or CD. Thank you - this is a song that will always be close to my heart and it was wonderful to see it in action!

Thank you very much for that Asha. I actually was singing that song today while I was driving home tonight and thinking of my boyfriend. And then i come on here and you posted that. It was just meant to be today.

Today I am thankful for lunches with my bestie. We can catch up on all life's happenings, and it gives me a chance to escape for a little bit, even if only an hour!

Today I am thankful for the ability to laugh. The world is full of too many bitter people who have forgotten how to laugh. Sometimes a laugh is all that is needed to turn a [censored] day around!

Today I am thankful that I'm beginning to find and enjoy peace and joy in daily routine. And I'm enjoying laughter as never before!
These simple pleasures escaped me for a while as I escaped a catastrophic natural disaster but the ho-hum of daily living is coming back, it's beautiful, and I am so very grateful that I can see and appreciate that, now more than ever before.
And I am so grateful to Jase for allowing me to express that and to Phyllis, who has been a soothing part of that experience from Day 1. I, too, am truly blessed.

Today I am thankful that I am here another day! A few of you know how close I came to not being here a couple times over the last 15 years, but thankfully I survived! So each day is a blessing, and I hope to live them to the fullest!

Today I am thankful for my boss. I have been under the weather and solid food was not my friend. She brought me a plate of "Get well soon" German shortbread christmas cookies and that was the first solid food I had since this weekend. I think what made them better was the love put in to them ;-)
