I know the conventional wisdom is to wear high heels with skinny jeans, even for large and lovely women, but I throw wisdom out the door for comfort. I always wear ballet flats with skinny jeans (and I'm a size 14, so no skinny minnie here). It's a good balance because ballet flats do give a smaller silhouette. I do, however, agree with you on the longer tops. They look terrific with skinny jeans.

This is a great tip Kassie! Heels can give a "large" effect with skinny jeans and make the woman look older. Ballerinas are too darn cute too.

I was on the man repeller blog today and saw skinny pants with bubble skirt and cute top. It looks very cool but obviously for the more daring.

With skinny jeans you can wear long top or kurtis that will look nice.
