Sapporo Light Beer offers 8.5g carbs and 119 calories per 12oz of beer. How does this Japanese beer measure up to other low carb options?

Lisa, it's a bit light in taste, but I enjoy Miller 64. It is low in carbs and only has 64 calories. When I add (some would say adulterate) some jalapeno juice and V-8, it almost doubles the size of my drink without appreciably raising the carb or calorie counts.
I also like lime in this.

I tried Michelob Ultra, and I like that. The Michelob Cactus and Lime has under 6 gr. carb and is 107 calories. It's okay, but I'm still not sure about the cactus part. It's a bit perfumy.

I'm not a beer drinker. Years ago we went on a low carb diet and my husband, who IS a beer drinker was introduced to Michelob Ultra - in a somewhat involuntary manner. I brought it home in place of his regular beer, because it would be "good for him". This is a common occurrence in our marriage. ;-)

I found that I actually like it, and apparently he does too since he's still drinking it.

Dear Amy -

You are very good to care for your hubby like that!

I'm generally not a beer drinker - I like wine - but I agree that it's good to go for the healthiest choice you can within the items you enjoy.
