Well, now - what a warm welcome. Thank you, Burt.
Game? Like a nice, polite ABC game suitable for all audiences. Maybe something like "Favorite Places in Appalachia Game" - which could be a city, restaurant, park, anyplace. I will get one started and see how it goes.

Phyllis, here's hoping that this site will bring you as much joy as the Sandwiches site has brought to me. I LOVE it!
This should dovetail nicely with your extensive knowledge.
Congratulations!

Hi Connie. Welcome to BellaOnline and thanks for stopping by my forum. I so agree that the spirituality of the Appalachia people is high. This is going to be a wonderful site for me. I love Bluegrass music and used to play it myself in a folk group I was in. I played the mountain dulcimer, autoharp, banjo, mandolin, and guitar. Music runs in my family. Glad you are here.
Anything you would like to share about the areas you lived in will be welcome.

Hi Phyllis, with my wobbly laptop having had hissy fits for weeks I am so far behind with the forum etc., and have only just cottoned on to your being the new Appalachia Editor.
Well done you, congratulations!
It has to be one of the most interesting, diverse and beautiful areas of the US and its nature, as well as its history, are just fascinating. Loved Maryland and Virginia when there and did so enjoy exploring as much of Appalachia as was possible in the time.
It will be a great site for you, and am really looking forward to your articles.

Thank you so much, Francine. I have always been drawn to the Appalachia regions and love the history there. Researching history is a big time hobby of mine.
