Sometimes there are no alternatives. We should be prepared for everything that could possibly happen but that is a near impossibility. We talk about disaster planning but can't possibly foresee everything that could happen. Did the people of Joplin and other cities that were hit by huge tornados have a clue their world was going to be turned upside down in mere seconds?

Of course not. Rescues come into the picture taking in the slack. There are pets that don't have human families to go home to, because they passed away during the storm. There are human families that can't bring home their birds because they have no home in which to bring them home, the home is destroy. These circumstances are fairly widespread, not just a story or two. It is people like Julie a veterinarian who founded Burge Rescue who is working hard to help these defenseless, frightened animals. Lets take a moment of our time to help her get the funds she desperately needs to expand. No cost to you, just vote!

Can I depend on you to vote, to ask everyone you know to vote? Will you introduce your friends and family to what a rescue is and does. Without them hundreds and thousands of pets would be destroyed.
