After posting my latest article on
environmental weather forecasting one of my Pagan friends reminded me of some of the other ways the Moon can predict or influence weather.
The major changes in the weather usually occur at the Moons quarters, if there is no change the weather will stay as it is for another week.
When the Moon rises large and golden, a period of fine weather may be expected.
If the crescent moon has appears like a horseshoe with the points up she is holding her water, but when the points are down then it will be showery.
Other environmental clues to rain include salt, iron, or marble becoming damp to the touch. In increase in the strength of smells, particularly if wooden doors or windows smells strongly of damp.
