Anyone else use it? I can't stand the thought of using paraffin wax (good little eco-warrior that I am) and I love candle wax, but ooh boy, anyone else find it incredibly hard to colour?

I've found that the liquid dye is inaccurate in color. I'll have red dye, but my candles turn out pink. Soy wax is hard to color. I bought some dye chips from candle science. I only used one dye chip for one pound of soy and the color was accurate. I hope this helps. I think dye chips work better than the liquid form.
hi..........
soy wax, which is a processed form of soybean oil.
Soy wax is a partially-hydrogenated form of soybean oil.
Some soy candles are made up of a blend of different waxes, including beeswax, paraffin, or palm wax.
thanks
So proud of you for being an eco warrior!! I can't seem to part from my paraffin!! You didn't mention what brand of coloring you used or where you bought it from. There is a vast difference in the way many are made. Some are good, some are bad. So if you really prefer a certain medium of color (liquid or dye chip), try a different supplier/brand and see if that makes a difference.
