Since I've been posting my post workout smoothies I thought it would be fun to post some of my eat clean meals that I eat before or after workouts.

Today's clean meal: Orzo chicken salad

1/4 cup cooked orzo
1/2 cup chopped organic greens (spinach, kale, mustard, turnip, and collard greens
chopped carrot
1/3 grilled organic chicken breast chopped
chopped ginger, parsley, onion (as much as you like)
splash of lime juice
1 teaspoon full fat mayo
1 teaspoon spicy mustard

This is a great high carb meal you can eat after a workout or the day before a high intensity workout.

Organic chicken thighs, onions, garlic, ginger, carrots, snap peas sauteed in olive oil then simmered in 1/2 cup spicy homemade sweet and sour sauce (water, low sodium soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and sriracha hot chili sauce) served over a cup of quinoa. Unusual but tasty and my son and boyfriend loved it. I love one pan meals. Easy clean up.

wow what a great clean meals is that and that's real good to eat after doing workout.,,,that's look like so nice to taste....thanks for the link,,,,

1/4 cup onions, 2 large crimini mushrooms, 1 tsbp raw ginger, 1/4 cup parsley, 1 cup mixed cherry tomatoes, sauteed in olive oil

toss above with 1/3 cup cooked orzo 2 handfuls chopped raw spinach

spice with coriander, pepper, and basil

(makes about 2-3 portions)

Had 1 portion of above with 1 scrambled egg after my workout. So delicious!

Almost out of orzo. Not buying more for a long time. Sticking to whole grain rice or quinoa for increased fatloss until the end of the year.

1 small apricot chopped
1/4 cup blackberries
1 tbsp cashews almonds dried cranberries trail mix
1 tbsp yogurt
mix it all in a small bowl

This was my breakfast today along with 2 cups of coffee.

1/2 pear and 1 black fig chopped topped with 2 tbsp vanilla yogurt (plain would be even better) and 2 tbsp chopped pecans (all organic ingredients).

So good and refreshing on a hot 110 degree day! This might be even better with some type of fermented cheese instead of yogurt.

3 oz grilled white fish on two very small corn tortillas w/ sprinkle of shredded Mexican cheese, tomatoes, avocado, green salsa, and a splash of lime. Was a perfect size meal to eat an hour before my workout!
