They are sooo cute John. We started with just a couple of chipmunks. They had babies and they had babies, now we have become the chipmunk sanctuary of Huron. Every chipmunk hole, we leave a "blind" around it. So we have postage stamp square blinds throughout the yard. The rest is cut an manicured properly. We have several this year with little ones. Mom has just started taking them out to learn to stand like clothespins, straight and still. soon they will be venturing from one tall blade of grass to the next. I told you they were tiny lol.We have dozens of squirrels that argue with the grackles. The grackles chase the squirrels, and visa versa. I guess it is all in the attitude.
I love spiders. I have several that live in the house. They come down out of their web, crawl on my hand, where I have put a drop of water. They will drink the water and crawl back up in their web. Spiders are just plain cool. I don't know what it is, even when camping (in a tent, on the ground, no five stars unless I move my back wrong and then I see more than five stars). The darn things crawl into my hands in the woods too. I put them down, they crawl back up. When we burn old dead wood, spiders will come out of the wood, I have to get everyone and get it away from the hot fire. I really do like spiders

You tell me what counts as a pet, and I'll tell you how many I have lol.
Both of my schizophrenic cats have finally socialized. Remember Molly the black cat, and Squeaky the Ragdoll? It took that many years for the poor little wild dears to sleep in my arms at night. I would like one more dog before I can't walk anymore. I love golden retrievers but my strength has gone downhill badly, can't handle a large dog anymore. But, I have heard of miniature AUS Sheppards. I am down to one more chapter to write, better stay on task......
