Some of the things included in the Free Gas promotion are: Gatorade, Doritos, Edy's Ice Cream, 2 liter Coke, Hershey's Assorted candy, Lysol spray, Palmolive, Folgers cofee and Finish Jet Dry Rinse agents.

I think this is a great deal.

I have to say how annoying it is to see so many ways to get soda and candy for free. I don't eat those. I want to see more staples like rice, flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, vinegar...arg. I am feeling grumpy today because my entire town was out of newspapers yesterday. I walked for miles in the heat looking for a single paper and didn't get a one.

I have to agree with you Jilly! I looked at the list of items that can be used towards free gas and the only item on the list that I would buy is Folgers. I don't eat a lot of soda, candy, canned, boxed or frozen foods...seems most deals I come across are for those type of items.

I would use Palmolive, my kids love Doritos, and the ice cream. I'm not big on candy and soda.

I didn't do the free gas this week. Let me see about next week. I couldn't swing enough coupons to make this one worthwhile.

I bought a few things but not $30 worth. I did notice that my receipt kept track of how much towards the gas reward that I spent. $5 down...$25 to go.

Ok, this week i expect to get the gas freebie. I like the stuff on the CVS list this week. Mainly the coffees. I will look for coupons and see about stocking up.

That actually sounds easy enough. I'm going to recheck my list today to see how I can manage to get one.

This week's looks doable I think. More cereal. Maybe Wesson oil (2 for 1) and the instant coffee decaf.

A 30% off one transaction coupon (up to $99) printed out today, so i think i need to get all my week's CVS stuff in one shot to be as cheap as possible.

Jill, I got that coupon yesterday but be sure to read the fine print. It says not available on sale items. I was prepared for that because the ones like that that Rite Aid prints out are the same way. I was like bummer...I really only buy sale items from those stores!

Hmm. It should be still useful on getting the gas card stuff then. Thank you for the warning.

Does getting ecbs count as a 'sale'?

YAY, i got my second gas card! basically I bought cereal to meet the $30. Lots of it. And used 11 coupons with it.

I don't think I will be able to get the gas this week, unless i want to buy 12 containers of mayo. I wonder how many mayo coupons i can find? wink

I'm going to load up on stuff and I should be able to get it this week. I'm thinking chex mix, deer park water, lots of pop tarts and some mac and cheese. I have coupons for all of them except for the water.
