Gas here is at $3.99 in my part of Massachusetts, I think no gas station wants to be the first one to break the $4 barrier.

Does anyone have $4 gas yet?

Is that $4 for a gallon Lisa? The average price through Europe is around Euro 1.600 for a litre, which is roughly $2.40, and there are just under four litres in one US gallon.

So if that is for a gallon, and my addition is not completely off, over here we are already at the $9 gallon....my, it does seem a little thought provoking to see it written down like that.

Saw $4.05 in metro-DC this morning, at a just-off-the-highway station.

I only buy premium so yeah it's been up there for a while now which is why I kicked my MWF noon client off my roster. It was costing a lot of time/money to drive there and I was just breaking even. What's the point of that!

In Australia it's been $5-$6 per gallon forever. We are spoiled in America. The good thing is filling up is killing my Starbucks habit!

Francine - yes a gallon - we were at $2.50 for a while smile

Still at $3.99 here. They're holding the line.

Monica - I'll start a separate thread on the premium question because it's an interesting one smile

It is $4.29 for regular here in northern Indiana. What gripes me is reading that the oil companies are making record high profits while mealy-mouthing about how high their expenses are. Yesterday I heard a financial expert say that we shouldn't mind spending so much for gas because we will get it back in high returns on our mutual fund investments. What mutual fund investments? I can't afford any!

$4.56- $4.65 yesterday in Chicago

The burbs are taking a hit as well. I paid about $4.52. Diesel is now cheaper than regular gas.
