One is an exploration of how prayer is used in the Bah' Faith and the other is how I'm learning to use it:

Cheryll,

Thanks for your articles on prayer!

As you pointed out "Amen" means "so be it!" .. It was a common ending for prayers in Judaism, Christianity and Islam and basically was a kind of affirmation. Baha'i prayers usually end with an affirmation about God like He is the All-Glorius, the All-wise..

As you know the Central Figures of the Faith are Baha'u'llah, the Bab and Abdul-Baha.

Keep up the good work on the forum!

Hi Cheryll,

I loved your article. I am not familar with this form of faith but it sounds nice but interesting. I will have to look into it more. I love the sound of it. However, I would like to ask that if you are searching for answers that you can't seem to find in the bible who gives you the guidance to search in other places?

My soul is a pretty good authority, LOL. It is a creation of God, and if God's purpose in creating us was that we know and worship our Creator of our own free will, then logically, the soul should be able to recognize Truth. Otherwise, what would be the point of free will? The Bible, like the Qur'an and other sacred texts, gives guidance, but it is the soul that knows.
