Hi Everyone:
This has been in my heart for a while and finally decided to post it. Being unemployed has enough stress attached to it without having folks presuming you are at home with your feet "propped up"...
Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced the NERVE of some folks to call themselves "visiting" with their kids in tow - then leave without them (lol)?
Before I moved in with my boyfriend, I did not have this issue. But now I am dealing with his family and all these women who lay around having babies and then want to "drop them off" at someone's house (lol).
Well, it took two times of this happening and I had a talk with him. Hey, nothing against the kids spending some time with THEIR uncle when he stays awake. Yep, got stuck with the "brats" while he fell asleep in front of the big screen TV.
Needless to say he thinks I HATE them. No, I don't - I just do not want any responsibilities at age 52 (53 this year) after raising my ONLY child (age 24, daughter) by MYSELF (without family or government help).
Well it has been 5 months of this "living together" and I am still "evaluating" if it is something I want to continue with.
Care about him (age 57), but unless he is willing to finally move ahead with enjoying his "mature" age, I have to make an exit. Folks get set in their ways and we are both - sad to say.
Anyone else experienced this?
Thanks!
