Let's play a little game here. There are a lot of interesting little facts floating around out there, for instance, did you know that people use their left hand 58% more than their right hand when typing?

So look up a fun fact or two and post them here and we can fill more people with useless knowledge.

I will start with:

Did you know that the first person who owned the Marlboro cigarette company died of lung cancer?

Ok, now it's your turn.

Wow, how ironic - and many more to follow with "cancer" - sad to say. My boyfriend has smoked all his life. Great subject and I look forward to reading the neat contributions smile

There are 118 ridges around the edge of a Roosevelt dime, 119 ridges around the edge of a quarter, 150 ridges around the edge of a Kennedy half dollar, & 133 ridges around the edge of a Susan B Anthony dollar. The edges of the penney & nickel are smooth. The edge of the Sacagawea & Presidential dollar are smooth with writing, that includes year, mint mark & E PLURIBIS UMUM / IN GOD WE TRUST.

The little lump of flesh just forward of your ear canal, right next to your temple, is called a tragus.

If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle;

If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle;

If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

During the American Revolution, many brides did not wear white wedding gowns; instead, they wore red as a symbol of rebellion.

Richard Millhouse Nixon was the first US president whose name has all of the letters in the word criminal.

The second is William Jefferson Clinton.

Another reason to purchase stamps that you don't have to lick. I don't need any extra calories.

Gjetost is the national cheese of Norway, and its name means "goat" and "cheese," though it is now commonly made of cow's milk.

Of all strange customs, one of the more unusual was that of the "groaning cheese." Years ago in Europe, a prospective father would nibble on a huge chunk of cheese while awaiting the home birth of his child. Instead of pacing outside the bedroom door, the father would eat from the center of the cheese until a large hole had been gnawed out. Later, his newborn infant was ceremoniously passed through the hole.
