It definitely takes practice. And the times people spend on one thing may differ for someone else-I just sweep my blush and powder on in less than a minute but it does take me more than a minute if I am wearing eyeliner to make sure I smudge it just the way I like. What may take the most time at first is mascara, which is why I say it takes practice.
Speaking of mascara....From comments to emails I have received, a lot of people are scared of applying mascara. Instead of getting one of the fancy ones like a
vibrating mascara such as Lancome's Oscillation which vibrates 7000 occilations a minute, or mascara with a scary applicator (I guarantee both of these will take more than ten minutes!) like
this, stick to your Maybelline Great Lash or BeneFit BadGal right now. These are good starters until you are more confident and comfortable with mascaras. You can go to makeup counters or beauty stores and ask the employees to show you how to apply these more advanced mascaras when you're ready.
