Do you find it hard to eat a healthy breakfast? Please share what you usually have for breakfast, or what you had this morning.

I usually make a smoothie but right now my vita-mix is broken and waiting for a part (due to overuse, I'm sure) and so I didn't know what to have for breakfast.

Hi Tina,
Ahh, I feel your pain. Once the simple yet perfect smoothie breakfast comes to an abrupt end; it's daunting. My first instinct is to encourage you with three words, they are
-protein
-protein
-protein
High protein breakfast cereal with non-fat milk.(add banana)
Fresh fruit and a whole grain bagel.
Yogurt and a rice cake with some peanut butter.
Eggs white and a smile!!
Hope my suggestions help you some!!

I'm eating simple proteins for breakfast to help lower my morning blood sugar so I eat...

*a handful of nuts OR
*a slice of cheese OR
*an egg

I usually have oatmeal. I keep the single serve packages in my desk at work then make myself some in the morning before I start getting busy for the day.

I didn't have breakfast today because I didn't get up until 1pm. Usually I will have fruit, oatmeal, toast and jelly. I used to eat yogurt a lot but I'm staying away from a lot of dairy because I used to constantly be congested and cutting out diary had helped.

Every now and then I had turkey bacon but haven't had that in a while because I'm getting away from processed meat. I'm hungry now so I will eat a fruit and cream cup until I go get something to eat a little later.
