Malachite is an acquired taste with its bright green hue, but can be stunning in small doses. Supplies - Gemstones, Malachite

LOL, ugly but cute! Of course I am referring to the frog or toad. It is like he/she is daring someone to come get the gems (lol). Nice security guard!

Very unusual avatar you have...

Great article - thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks, Angela! She's a toad, and she was actually willing to pose like that for a photo. Toads tend to be very laid-back. They just want to sit still and hope that no one tries to pick them up. smile

Thank you, Tuculia! Isn't she photogenic? Very dignified, and such pretty eyes! She has a gorgeous cream-colored stripe down her back, too. smile

Thank you, Tuculia! I forgot about how fascinated kids get with toads. How cool to know that she has her own fan club! smile

This stone is used in wealth talismans. Since the three legged toad is a wealth symbol in Feng Shui perhaps you could combine the two and make a malachite toad talisman?

Ian, I did not know that about malachite talismans! I guess I learn something new every day. I wonder why it has to be a three-legged toad? Maybe three is a significant number?

Possibly, also the fourth leg could be hidden and acting as a 'root' to the earth energy which money belongs to.

I like that about the hidden fourth leg! Better than the poor thing has to be missing a leg. smile
