First, it's not the government's job to impose morality on the American people by any means. The only function of government should be the maintenance of armed forces, but that's a topic for another day.
Second, taxation is NEVER a moral imperative. Curbing government spending should be, but here's what I find reprehensible: my company was kind enough to give me a $1000 Christmas bonus this year, which my family desperately needs, but after all the various and sundry taxes were taken out, I only got $631. Yet apparently, Mr. Biden thinks we're still not paying enough.
