People asked me for Japanese recipes that don't use hard-to-find Japanese ingredients. And while that can be done, I was wondering if at least soy sauce was available where you live.

Can you buy soy sauce at your local grocery store?

Soy sauce shouldn't be too hard for people to find. The grocery stores here in Beattyville, a very small town in the hills of Kentucky, carry soy sauce. So I imagine that you can buy it about anywhere.

I have not met a grocery store yet that didn't have soy sauce. It's pretty much a staple. I bought a large bottle of it at Sam's Club. We use it and vinagar to season meat when we barbeque instead of salt. I'm sure it has a lot of sodium in it though.
