When you were in school, which of your history teachers really made history come alive for you?

I do not remember any of my history teachers during my K-12 years in school. However, one instructor I had at college for American Constitutional Law was great. I learn a lot about the legal foundations of our country from him. It was one of the best classes I ever had.

My 7th grade history teacher was so good (and I was so not interested then), but I'm amazed at how much information I learned in her class. Then, in high school, I had two different teachers (switched classes at semester break - schedule conflicts). The 1st semester was a coach, he wasn't a great teacher and I don't remember anything except wanting to sleep. He was sooooo boring. My 2nd teacher made history come alive, which helped spark the interest I already had (my family restored antiques: cars, trunks, clothing). He was a funny guy too, which helps hold interest (even for those not interested).

I remember my 8th grade teacher, he was absolutely hilarious and made jokes about some history and those are the parts of history I know the best. he made jokes about the kids in my class as well. He made learning history fun. I'm glad he was my teacher. ________________________________________________________________ MommaBear22m
