Hey! I'm working on Halloween articles for the site. What would you like to see there? Superheroes? Star Wars? Steampunk? or more traditional vampires and zombies? Let me know...

Julie, it's July. I admire thinking ahead, but I don't think I'm up for Halloween in July. Though I guess I should be now that Christmas things are on sale in September!

But I'll look forward to seeing the articles.

LOL, Mona...sorry. I blame my 11 year old son, Ben. He's been pestering me to help him make a Halloween costume all summer. I've got costumes on the brain these days. I'll pull this thread back up in September, okay? :D It's good to meet you!

Hi Julie,
This brings back memories of when my kids were younger. They would wear their halloween costumes for months afterwards.

Dianne--mine keep wearing them until they don't fit over their heads anymore! This year's theme seems to be video game characters

Hmmm, Flower...how about sweatshirt/sweatpants costumes? Or is there a favorite TV show or movie she loves? I'll see what I can find for an article.

My 2 year old tolerated a "devil" costume with red sweats and a hoodie. I made horns and sewed them to the hood and pinned a stuffed tail to the pants. I was holding her most of the time anyway, so she just felt like she was in regular clothes. It complemented her 4 year old sister who wore an angel costume.

I never know for sure what my daughter is going to want to do for Halloween, until I give her the deadline for working on her costume. This year, she really seems to like Ahsoka Tano from the Star Wars Clone Wars show - the outfit Ahsoka wears is kinda skimpy, and we live somewhere cold, and I am not sure its age-appropriate. The headtails that Ahsoka has will also be a challenge for me if this is what my daughter chooses this year. She has mentioned maybe wanting an Ahsoka costume. I do appreciate it she is giving me time to think about this!
