Talking from experience as most people could probably relate to, there are so many times when it's difficult to see anything different than what it is we're going through. We might even be in a physical place that reinforces what we might already be wondering.

Perception, though, kind of like going to a garden and picking all the tomatoes that pop up all at once after waiting what feels like eons for them to finally come through...the position we happen to be looking from, quite often relays what we think is everything when there is always something there that we missed but with a little tweak can reveal something we could have swarn wasn't there the last time we looked!

I have been experiencing this a lot lately, changing perceptions. I can say that it is not the easiest thing to do. However, letting go of one perception, one that is ingrained, is probably the hardest thing to do when we are faced with changing perceptions. Although I am aware that our preceptions are the basis that create our realities.

I think we can definitely get stuck in one perception because of past experiences as they definitely have an influence on how we view what is happening in this moment, and it is a very hard thing to change, and it does take a strong desire to be extremely present in the moment.
