Moors are like mountains but broader and flatter. Similar deforestation, acid soil, high rainfall and extreme weather.

Landscape is beautiful though with heather, gorse, skylark song and birds of prey but sudden mists/rainstorms obliterating visibilty!

Why not treat yourself to a lovely read of 'Wuthering Heights?' - not sure of poem name but it starts........'no coward soul is mine.......' (Ahhhh, beautiful !!)

This was either a hurricane or nor'easter - don't remember which:

Wow, Allison, those are awesome! I especially like the rainbow photo. Do you take a lot of weather/nature photographs?

I do tend to take more weather/nature photos than other types. Nature seems to make the best subject lots of colors and challenges in taking nature photos.

I was surprised when the rainbow came out! Wasn't sure if I caught it or not. I tried to take some of the eclipse a couple of weeks ago - not sure how they came out need to download and take a look.

The photos are very interesting, Allison -- what do you think is causing the light area extending from the moon on the right? Is it reflected light? Sort of a diffuse glow?

This sounds strange, but the second photo reminds me of an eyeball -- the dark retina on the left, the bright lens and cornea on the right! laugh

Thank you for sharing your photos!

This is not my own photograph (I shudder to think about it!) but it's one of those 'you've got to see it to believe it!' It's currently on Yahoo's most emailed photos list. Hopefully this link will work for a while at least:

OK, How do I perform this photo miracle?
