I'm curious to know who all of you are listening to. Let me know who your favorite female musicians are. I'll start off the list in no specific order:

♥ Joanna Newsom
♥ Bjork
♥ Ani Difranco
♥ Regina Spektor
♥ Tori Amos

Okay, so I could really go on forever. It's hard for me to choose one favorite. I encourage everyone to list as many as you'd like. Have fun!

Stevie Nicks - the emotion in her voice & delivery are her attributes

Stevie Nicks voice carries such a raw emotion, something that [I think] is lacking in a lot of female talent today.

Due to my preference & the period of my life most influenced by those music styles, I still like listening to:

- Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders)
- Pat Benatar
- Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart)

They made great strides into the female presence in the style of Rock & Roll that got tagged with 'Arena Rock'

Chrissy Hynde is awesome, as is Heart. I have many childhood memories relating to both artists! Thanks for your input.

Hi Elisha, one of my favourite musicians is Errollyn Wallen an eclectic musician, singer, composer, conductor, etc. She was awarded an MBE for her services to music in the Queens Birthday Honours list in June 2007.

In Feb 2010 she climbed Mt Kilimanjaro with a roll-up piano to raise funds for children. (Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, the tallest free-standing mountain in the world and the largest volcano ever to break through the earth's crust!) An amazing woman! (JOY)

I would definitely have to go with Reba! I saw her live in concert and she was a blast. I have been a fan of her for close to 10 years now and I have almost all of her albums. Just thinking about it makes me want to find out where her next concert is. I also like Shania Twain when she does more of her slow songs like "You're Still the One" It really is too bad that she and her husband came to such a nasty end, I really believed that there was some sort of magical romance in her live.
