Hi all, I would really appreciate any advice regarding my current hair failure! I am a natural blonde. For the last three years I have been dyeing my hair to a 3-4R using both a permanent dye with a 10 volume developer and a deposit only color, depending on my roots. About hthree months ago I decided to go backto blonde. I went to a stylist and she stripped it down to a dark orange color. I went back and had it stripped an additional two times. Unfortunately I don't think she really knew what she was doing. My hair turned out blonde on the top and still a darker orange on the bottom. I attempted to tone it out myself using a demi permanent 9 ash with a capsule of unred and it is now ash blonde....on the top. The bottom is sill orange. Please, any advice or opinions on how to fix the fail that is my head???

well. ash counters Yellow not orange. BLUE will counter YELLOW.

You need to see someone who knows what they are doing. Thats my professional opinion. There is a reason i charge an hourly rate for color correction, it's not easy and not everyone can do it.

Take Jase's advice and find an experienced color professional. After applying and reapplying that kind of hair color, the ends often are very hard to lighten. You may have to settle for a darker blond or light brown that will cover the orange. Or you may need a shorter hair cut.
