I know it's considered the done thing in some countries lol, you know, to belch after/before or during a meal, maybe out with friends, a dinner party, restaurant KFC type of thing, Dunkin Donuts and that. How would you feel if some big feller did it at your thing though? If they do it, they may expect you to take it as an 'appreciation of the things you've provided'. But you might not like it, or be frightened by it. What do you say.

I'd be grossed out slightly and find it rude if it was at a dinner party, unless it came out unexpected and they apologised. Other countries have different customs, but no matter where I was I wouldn't make a show of belching. Of course, it's much. much better than it coming out the other way. That would be horrible.
But I find it very childish, especially when ppl laugh at it - I've never understood what's so funny? To me it's the height of bad manners to do either in someone's company, especially at a sit down meal as a guest LOL.

You don't think farting is funny? I find it the height of comedic sophistication. Probably best you don't come here for supper.

I'm 100% with Steven. It's rude and not the least bit funny. It's called toilet humour for a reason and rarely passes as comedic genius.
