Ah, its the food stamps program for my state called LINK. We make too much money by like 100 because they count the disability against us. The law needs to be changed so people don't get their small disability benefits used against them!!! that would be REAL change.

Absolutely, Jase! People wind up not getting services (like LINK) that they should, or not taking a small part-time job that would expand their life, because they are afraid of losing the small disability check they get.I have a nephew in the same situation.

If anyone is lucky enough to live near an army surplus store, occasionally they'll have individual MREs for sale at a very reasonable price- a MUST have when the electricity goes out for a few days. I used to live near one years ago. There was a Tornado watch in my neighborhood last night, by the way.

Well, John and I are holding on-I posted some of my survival tips on the Frugal Living site. Last night, there was a church supper next door ( Potluck, no charge) and I came home with half of an apple pie.
