from what I've experienced precognition and communication (whether after death or living) occur during sleep cycles, but only during a specific period of sleep cycle. I have nothing to prove this, it's just what I feel is going on.

The events that tend to come true are those that if I were to trace them back, they can be seen as already being in the midst of happening, such as worldly events, earthquakes, economical rise/fall, etc. What's interesting though is that a season or month, year, etc. can be found somewhere in the dream as well.

Communication during dream cycles seem to just be a matter of picking up mental or energetic signals, ESP, telepathy, etc. It could be the rest of our radio stations are closed during sleep with one particular channel wide open to recieve thought communication.

I love the radio station analogy! When I was in college I ran into a graduate student who had trained with the Duke parapschyology group. After a few cursory tests, he announced I was apparently like a radio tower/receiver, in that I would pick up stuff from ALL over the place.

Just when you think you have all the "channels" turned off for sleep, you'll find one still one in your dreams.

Carol, I have had lots of dreams like that, and there have been several that have come true exactly the same way and the same words that have been said. like you said they happen either years later or days later.

I'm guilty of not always doing this, but hands down and always after the fact, I wish that I had written my far out dreams and hokie feelings/visions on paper when they do that thing - that anxious, distracting, unsettling thing that comes out of nowhere.

There really isn't much you can do at the time, but at the very least you have them written down to keep in check your personal sanity.

I think a lot of the time we push out awkward feelings and dreams, only to find periodically that they actually come to pass but with little proof, unless you tell your significant other or family/friend.

I'll post this in the "what do you see for environment, economy" etc.

I had a dream and what is significant is that both my husband and I woke at the same time and swapped dreams. In fact I rose first/sat up in bed and he propped himself on his side and we both said at the same time, "I just had the wildest dream..."

They weren't exact but the themes were. The last things we spoke about were liposuction and cosmetic surgery.

His dream was about Rome and he was a soldier that had taken the fall for what set the breach of Roman Empire - contract off. Basically, the beginning of the fall.

For me, my dream was a young child, tan skin, dark hair and a mother on her knees holding on to him with his hands by his side and expressionless face.

He said, "The last hour they will mix words of hate as to devoid the people of the truth."
