I think this name for many of the same reasons that I like 'Darci Jeanne' in another of your Posts. Dalton is not overused, at least not in my neck of the woods. I don't think James can be overused. And I do like to used DJ.
The reason I don't like this is because both 'gangs' were so prominent at the same time. In fact most of the Dalton gang and Jesse James were killed the same year (1892). {The James gang did not all go down at one time.} Not everyone will immediately think of those times whenever they hear those two names together, but some of us will.
