Gay men everywhere love Bea Arthur. Okay, not all gay men, but lots! More than one or two of the L, B, and T parts of LGBT have been fans as well.

She died today at age 86, at her home in California. A family spokesperson said she had cancer but didn't give details.

From Maude to the Golden Girls, Bea Arthur has created memorable characters. She'll be missed.

She was a great stage actress, too. I'm glad she had a long life and a successful career. Boy, she really knew how to deliver a line.

That is a real shame! I saw that on CNN and was reading that she was the original Yenta from Fiddler on the Roof! How neat!

I was watching Golden Girls today, and Bea was such a marvelous comedienne. Unrivaled.
