if anyone would like to start some topics on Vice City, i'm all for it. i got it the day it came out. and four days later, i beat it for the first time. then i went through again to beat it with perfection. i'm still working on getting all the packages(7 left) and i have a couple side missions to do yet. but any questions or comments about the game would definitely spark my interest. i know this is mainly a FFX forum, but i've done everything there is to do with that game. and i did it awhile ago. just thought i'd try to spawn talk about another game.

Okay, since you were so helpful on my other post, here's another question: what is the advantage to the sniper rifle? It doesn't seem to have any real zoom effect. And the red dot (crosshair) is very faint. The M16 and Mini14 seem to operate the same, but with a better site and full-auto capability. What is the advantage to the sniper rifle? Is there a way to zoom in that I'm unaware of?
Here's another: I noticed that when you push forward on the stick when on a motorcycle, you stand up. What's the point of standing on the cycles? Just for fun?

To the young one sv650tn to be able to zome in with the sniper riffle is very simple, try pushing the buttons, like the O button or the triangle button one of them zooms in and one to zoom out. Now to answear the question about standing up. Have you ever ridden a motercycle or just a peddle bick. If so you would have notticed that when comming off a jump you would have to nose down your bike for a good landing. And if you are on the crotch rocket, go really fast down the road, then push your hand brake (R1) and reagualr brake (square) and push up. You will do a nose stoppie and get a [censored] load of points, just like doing a wheelie.

I don't know the advantages of Sniper Rifles. I love doing wheelies on the Motorbikes. The standing up thing you do is called a Stoppie or something like that. You get money if you perform a good/long stoppie or wheelie. They are also fun.
Real love is feeling like being a part of that person's life almost isn't enough. It's more like a feeling that you would live in the same skin with them if you could and share every thought, heart beat, and emotion as one. - Rod Cannon

I love vice city, i'm almost done with it too. I am going to finish it within the next few days... Anyways, i already know that Lance dies (sorry for those who didn't) and that you waste sonny. But I don't know the full ending, and don't care too until I get there. So my question is.. does anyone think that they will make a GTA that you can play online? That would rock!

Thanks for all the responses. Pressing the "O" button fires the rifle, and I tried the others and no zooming occured. I'll try again though.
So, hand brake and rear brake and standing brings about a stoppie? Great! Actually Kilo, I do ride an actual motorcycle every day, thanks for asking. That's what an sv650 is. Doing a stoppie in real life doesn't require hitting the rear brake at all, but then, this game isn't real life. Now I know how to do a virtual stoppie. I kept trying to do one with just the front brake while standing, to no avail. Thanks, all.

You were right Kilo, the other buttons do zoom in and out. The triangle and square buttons do it, can't remember which of these is in and which out though. Much better. Thanks again.
Doing stoppies galore now, just met Mitch Baker, Love Fist, buying properties and collecting income. Amazing game. Like a criminal version of monopoly, in a way, yet so much more.

Stoppie bonus: $129 distance 689 ft. time: 29 sec. :-). I just now got it but it rules.....the advantages to the snipe rifle that i found were you can use it to easily change your camera angle....also on some missions where you have to keep up someone i.e. the "hits" it helps. also has ne1 noticed how much easier the rampages are on this one?
