The use of the term family often conjures up the image of children and even in time grandchildren. A family of two may not come into the conciousness of people. What terms do you use to describe your relationship?

I like Family of Two the best. Another term I like to use for us personally is "Newlyweds Forever". Because I feel like my husband and I still act like newlyweds for the most part, and will be able to forever since we're not going to have kids.

I refer to 'us' as a family - me and DH, plus two doggies. :-)

We're a family of three - me, my husband, and our kitty.

We tend to call ourselves a family as well. It's my husband and I plus our five ferrets (four adopted and one foster). Instead of the pitter patter of little feet, we hear the pitter patter of little paws. :-)

I definitely think of my husband and I and my 6 dogs and 3 cats as a family. So do my most of my friends, many of whom have kids. they always ask me how the babies are.
