As an Image Consultant I have encountered so many women afraid to treat themselves to clothes that fit. I understand being on a diet or even in weight loss management and you would like to get to a certain weight level before you splurge. But I do not think it is wise, economical, or even emotional supportive, to force yourself to fit into clothes that do not fit. Give Them Up and buy clothes that fit. I think it's because we cling to hope that we'll actually lose the weight and reach our perfect ideal.

I understand that perfectly, but we place so much pressure on ourselves to loose the weight. It turns into a nightmare of trying to find clothing that fits in our closet. REMOVE THEM FROM THE CLOSET. ;) Nikki Curry- Image Consultant/Plus Size Coach www.MindBodyImage.com

You're right. Whenever I see a large and beautiful woman, she is wearing clothes that fit--and that look fabulous on her.

That is such a good lesson for me.

eek I don't think we are afraid to buy new clothes - I think that when we set priorities most of us put new clothes down the list, especially in this economy. And then we hope that we don't go up or down.

I can't answer the question about why we don't buy clothes that fit because I have medical issues that mandate that my clothes not be too small. I hate seeing too baggy clothes on anyone, so I don't fall into that either. Don't know that answer. confused

I hate buying new cloths because i'm to big, (fat)
I get depressed at the sizes. (my size) I would rather avoid the whole thing. and stay in P.Js

But Rosie, do the PJ's fit?? grin And who looks at the tags of your clothes? frown If you don't like what they say, cut them off, but look good in them. LOL

Hi Rosie

I understand what you feel. When you are unsure of what you should buy when it comes to clothing, it can be a chore. I hear it all the time. I really do. My heart goes out to all of those women that feel this way.
