March Daily Prompts Week 5 In today's prompt it talks about the Scripture analogy Jesus used to describe people as soil.

"What type of soil are you? Have those seeds taken root? Dried up? Failed to bear fruit? Why?"

I think if I had to describe myself as a type of soil right now it would be tired. Like the potting soil in a container after all season of plants being in it. All dried up and tired. I'm tired and infertile and incapable of supporting life right now. I need an infusion of nourishment emotionally, I think.

I'm sorry to hear that Angela, definitely you need water and minerals!! We need to infuse you with vitality!

A good layer of mulch maybe. :-)

Seriously though - I'm on the upswing. I went for a full evaluation at the pain clinic - Xrays and flexbility and range of motion testing, nerve function checks, etc. I'll go back on Tuesday for the results and first real appointment and I'm already very excited feeling like there's some light at the end of the tunnel.

My car wreck was so long ago I have lingering frustrations that the pain is still present. I also then feel guilty for feeling frustrated at the pain because I should feel lucky to just be alive. *laughing* And so you see the cyclical theme running through much of my journaling the past ten years. :-)

I hope you feel better soon. I know it is no fun to be in constant pain. I hae a slipped disk in my jaw and it is driving me crazy.

How did your check-up go, Angela?

Really well actually. My xrays showed almost no actual disk degeneration at all which means most of my problems are structural/soft tissue/muscular. I felt very comfortable with this doctor and will see him on a regular basis to prevent from getting in this poor state again. Lol!
