It was hard for me to get through that. i did better when i took a brake after every race so i didnt get so mad. That helped me a lot. I really can't give any more advise besides that.

Yea, this is a real downer, i get so mad that i come close to ripping the telly of the wall, lol, it really infuriates me that they have to put a stupid control system for that race, it should just be the same as when you are controlling the chocobo normally, and those damn SEAGULLS!!! GRRRRRR,

I found that it doesn't really matter how good you are, it all comes down to if you have a good run, and the game doesn't throw a lot of seagulls at you, and puts all the balloons in a funny pattern so you can't get a single one of them. If you got 0:3.8, then keep doing whatever you did there, and just keep doing it until the game gives you a good set-up. Once you do it you never have to race again <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I finally managed to do this about a week ago (after not being able to do it for months), and it took me hours. Once you get competent at getting balloons and avoiding birds it really seems mostly luck, often the birds at the end will ruin an otherwise perfect run.

Just stay calm and as optimistic as you can be and keep trying.

I had more success trying it for several hours in a row (though it is dull) than trying it a few times a day, because it is not entirely luck and you do sharpen up a bit in time.
