I am in the process of getting a tattoo removed by laser. Its costly and very painful since its on my ankle. I was reading about some tattoo removal creams but not sure if they work (tatoo be gone). Has anyone used these?

Wow, this is interesting. I have not heard of these. What's in them? Is it bleach?

there is this one cream out there that is supposed to remove a tattoo or lighten it enough to be able to do a coverup without it being all dark and messy.

I forget the name of it but I asked my tattoo friend and he said it worked well enough and it isn't a bleach.

Tattoo removal creams are most often a scam, but when they aren't, they are highly-corrosive and dangerous chemicals which burn the skin, forcing it to peel and frequently leave users with terrible scarring. I don't recommend tattoo removal creams at all.

Bleach is a dangerous chemical and contact with the skin should be avoided as it causes serious chemical burns.

Tattooing is a process which for thousands of years has been permanent for a lifetime. It costs money and hurts to get them put on, and it's going to cost more and hurt more to get them removed.

Thanks for the insight! According to www.tatbgone.com = TBG is a system of lotions which permeate the dermis to help fade the tattoo away by attacking the ink. Altho I can't find anywhere what is in the product. The laser hurts so much I'd prefer not to go through it again!

i thought they might be scams, but I wasn't sure since I'd never want to remove what I took so much work to get done. Each of my tats were planned and thought through.

Aww Jase- I wish mine were all planned out. I made one HUGE mistake on my ankle when I was 16 and have hated it for about 10 years now. It hurts 5 times worse to laser it then it did to put it on. So, I'm reluctant to continue the laser. The tattoo gets increasingly blury each year so maybe in another 10 years it will dissipate on its own lol.

When you can't find an ingredient list, that's the #1 sign of a scam. These products tend to fall into two categories: the fake (the proverbial snake oil product which doesn't actually work) or something which is so dangerous, the FDA would take legal action to stop the sale if they knew what it was.
