BellaOnline Forums Hobbies and Crafts Photography Lowest priced GOOD digital camera?

I want to buy a digital camera that is good enough to use to submit photos to the on-line photo stock sites to try to earn money on my photos can anyone recommend one.

I have tried using one of my daughter's cameras that is digital and 8 mega pixels but the thing I hate about it is that it doesn't instantly take the picture like my old 35 mil camera, this one you have to get the item you're trying to photograph to stand still for a whole minute almost before it finally takes the picture.

I want a camera that takes the picture when I choose, not when it chooses.

I also need the lowest priced one that works the way I need it to, and I'll upgrade later. Any ideas?

I have been looking for a small compact digital to replace my old clunky one. In researching I have come across many reviews and the most best rated one that continuously pops up is the Canon A590IS. It was also rated as the Consumrs Report Best Buy.
You are probably looking for a camera that has very short next shot delay. Maybe you might wish to check out the Canon Sd1100. Both of the above are 8mp. You didn't mention the camera you have. I just bought a Fugi J10W and returned it because as much as I loved the camera and all its features many of the photos had a blurred picture. My old clunker still works great A210 Fugi but I want something smaller with all the bells and whistles.

I have a Sony CyberShot DSC-T20 which I took most of the photos I've submitted to Mused with, I *adore* it. It is small, I carry it in my purse, and the quality is really great. It is 8.1mp.
