BellaOnline Forums Family Christian Living Atheists suing to block words in innauguration

Mr. Newdow is at it again. He wants block the words "so help me God" that President-elect Obama wants to say at the end of the oath. You can read about it here.

I could understand it if the president was not a Christian and had to say these words but I feel if he wants to say them, he should be allowed to. What do you think?

I agree with you. If the President wants to say them he should be allowed to.. Christian or not..God to me means..the God of my understanding.

I think this is so stupid,and a complete waste of time.Why is he doing this?Everytime he does this,the courts have dismissed his case.So,why keep doing it,wwhen he s failing everytime.Wahta waste of money!

I agree with you 2,let me him say what he wants.We do still have a 1st Amendment here!

After watching the innauguration ---
I thought the invocation by Rick Warren was wonderful as was the benediction at the end. I can't remember that pastor's name. I'm so glas that they made it clear that God is in the center of this government and is in control.
