I have to admit I am a fan of marcasite and faux marcasite jewelry.
Recently, I have begun to pick up a number of pieces that have clear crystals or rhinestones in them.

I have a small collection of Kenneth Jay Lane jewelry, plus Avon pieces----believe it or not, Avon pieces do increase in value, which surprised me! However, my friend and business partner is "the" jewelry collector between the 2 of us----she collects rhinestone anything----she has hundreds of pieces, literally.

When I was in high school, I collected rhinestone jewelry, and even got a few choice vintage pieces from my grandmother, which I still have. And I had a serious earring collection for many years.
But as I've lived with body piercings for over 20 years now, I've gotten away from conventional jewelry-wearing. Things have shifted to collecting pieces made by my mom (she's makes amazing pendants, pins and bracelets in her art classes) and earring-wise, it's come to interesting large gauge pieces for the piercings that are that bigger than standard earrings.

Hi Rae, Good to meet you! First, your tattoo�s are incredible and I find your piercing�s are very interesting. I'm sure you get this all the time�.but...don't they hurt when you get them done?? It just seems painful to me!! I'd love to see any pic's you have of the rhinestone jewelry you have I'm always interested in that.... also; please share with us your mom's art! How exciting.
