Just curious though, why aren't the contests open to Canadians (I checked the rules, but didn't see a reason)?

LOL SurveyQueen smile I suppose you could look at it that way!

Kevin - gambling is hugely regulated and requires explicit permission from a given state to do it. I have gone through that process with all 50 US states and also the UK has said we are fine. However, I have written each province in Canada (you have to do it province by province there) and NONE have written me back. I can try again in 2009, to write them each afresh. Maybe they are getting themselves organized now.

Jane Austin did not...As far as I know, none of her books are classified that way, at least in our library. :-)

I can't get anything official for you, Lisa, but in Canada we have to answer a skill testing question for any lottery, draw, etc. to get around the gambling "thing." Hence, your question would work fine, but I can understand if you'd like to wait for something more official than me smile
