I was recently holidaying in Hawaii and came across some lovely Hawaiian print foot mops (aka wiki mops or 'foot buddies') which I thought would make a fun christmas gift. I was only able to buy a couple of pairs and was hoping to make another few pairs once home. I'm having trouble locating a pattern here (in Australia). Does anyone have any suggestions where I could obtain one??

Here are 2 sites I found: Island Girl Design Foot Mops or Alibaba Foot Mops I don't know anything about either site, but Island girl seems to be loosley relatd to Hilo Hattie's in Hawaii whichi is a very good store. They have excellent quelity qountrol and are proud of the product they put out. I still own a formal Mumuu I purchased from them almost 15 years aog in pristien condition. So id Island Girl is part if Hatties, I would recommend going with them.

Hi everyone, I don't even know what it is (at least by that name) but I am going to the site recommended and do a google search to find out. (-:

Okay, I know now. A footmop sorta like a flipflop. They look perfect for my feet. I have what my DH calls Flinstone feet. LOL

Are these what they sound like? Something for mopping up those small spills without needing to bend over? They should be a must have for all us 'oldies'. I've never seen or heard of them before.

No bending over, sounds good to me. Are they disposable?

Interesting concept. I can see how it could be a hit, especially with kids. My kids love to dust our wooden floors. They put on old/thick socks and go sliding.

My friend picked up several pair at WalMart for a Christmas gift for her sisters. They are like a slipper with thick pieces of yarn attached to the sole... or like a slipper with a dust mop attached to the sole. Pretty neat.

We could also attach them to the tummies of all the crawling babies of the world - they could become mutli-skilled at a very tender age. I like the idea!! Cheerio for now
