I was reading my local paper and found it funny that the comments from Democrats seem to run towards the line of how we need "to work together to get our great nation back on track"... I'm wondering, where has this epiphany been the past 4 or 8 years? Why do we suddenly NOW need to work together? Instead of bashing Bush the past 8 years, why didn't we hear more support from Democrats when they expect that kind of support from us? Get the nation back on track? Do they mean by THEIR way of thinking? What makes them think we want the nation on THEIR track? It just boggles the mind.

And here's to more "change"... his national security team will be headlined by a bitter political rival (Clinton) and a member of President Bushs war cabinet (Gates). So after all the complaints and criticisms of how Bush has run the war, he is probably going to continue running it how Bush ran it.

I don't know. I'm not feeling much confidence yet. I guess we'll see.

Gates has been critical of the way Bush has done things though, and I can see why Obama would want to use him, for continuity, and for veteren eyes.

Silly Michelle, the rule for elected Democrat officials has always been the same

"Look at what I say, not at what I do... unless I say something stupid, and then look at what the media said that I said, not what I do."
