Here is a 10-min chai recipe for lazy people like me. You need a cappuccino maker (I use a cheap $30 one from Walmart), though! I use savory chai masala from
World Spice Merchants, and loose tea leaf from my local Indian grocery store.
Add one tsp of the chai masala to the tea/coffee basket in the cappuccino maker.
Add 2 tsp of loose tea leaf to the basket. Wet with a few drops of water, and pack down tightly into the basket. Do NOT completely fill the basket.
Add 1 cup water to the water container, and turn on the cappuccino maker.
In the meantime, add about 1/2-cup of milk to each of two cups, and heat to the desired temperature in the microwave.
Remove the cups from the microwave. Add the tea concentrate from cappuccino maker. Add sugar to taste, and serve.
The whole process takes less than 10 minutes.
